THE 14-19 DILEMMA FOR DATA
Times they are a-changin' in the world of education and one of the latest set of reforms are targeted at improving the curriculum for 14 to 19 year-olds. The first 36,000 students are due to begin studying brand new Diploma courses from 2008, and schools are starting to plan how they will implement a whole raft of changes that the new curriculum will bring.

One of the most important questions forming behind this backdrop of reform is concerned with how schools will cope with the difference in the way pupils will attend school.

As the Department for Children's School's and Families (DCSF) has stated: "No school will be capable of delivering the full [diploma] entitlement on their own." Individual institutions will focus on the things they do well and rely on other schools.........click here continue
